Throughout my time at SJSU, I have been involved in my local chapter of IIDA as a Student IIDA. I have attended countless Design Expos, Portfolio Reviews, and Advocacy events to strengthen my professional skills and increase my knowledge on the profession of interior design. After winning First Place in the IIDA NorCal Honor Awards in March, I saw firsthand how being involved in IIDA can lead to greater opportunities and kickstart a career. So in June of 2025, I joined IIDA Northern California's board as the Director of Student Affairs, where I serve as the Student Voice for the chapter. I have helped plan events, spoke on a panel, and organized volunteers for our annual Honor Awards show. This opportunity has given me the opportunity to meet some of the most inspiring leaders in our industry, and inspired me to represent my community in any way that I can.
